twelvebar my add was totally honest Lonely Boy is a 1962 copy . It was removed because I like the guitar. The only dishonesty which was in the ORIGINAL add before I was forced to modify it by all the puiblic outlash here at Fender.com forum was where I exagerated the FAME of Lonely Boy but other than the subsequent add is was more honest than when you twelvebar look at yourself in the mirror blaaaaaaaaaaaaa and twaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa to you twelvebar

he was removed because I do not want to sell him and I know he can sell if I am ever desperate , was just testing the waters and have found that he is a very interesting guitar that creates a lot of havoc and trouble ahahhahahahahahahahahahahhahahahah twelvebar Im glad I never listened to you as orvilleowner was far more experienced in giving me the true history and identification of MY GUITAR
was it honest when you said they were made in 1959, when you had no knowledge of that?
Was it honest when you said you bought it thinking it was a 62/63 strat in your ad, but that you came here bragging it was a '53 prototype?
was it honest when you said the trem on it was based on the original 3 spring model leo invented in '53 when no pictures or any other evidence of that trem unit have ever surfaced, and the trem on yours was clearly modelled after the style used much later on Jazzmasters, or the variations used on jaguars and mustangs?

You removed some of the bald faced claims from your original copy, but those are just 3 examples from your final ad.

The debate rages lets go for it twelvebar if thats what you want im sure we can entertain the masses . Firstly I never said it was made in 1959 once again you dabble with my words and truth as I have noticed you always manage to stuff up words and you are dishonest when you do that.
I wrote as the history tells us on the net '' made between 1959 and 1975 '' this is what I found on the net and used it. Secondly it is based exactly on the Leo Fender design read the history each string sits on a bearing and this design written in 1953 is beforte the Jazzmaster release and the tremelo on Lonely Boy is based on the design of the 53 failed vibrato. I dont need pictures twelvebar use your brain Leo said it sat on 6 rollers and was similar to the jazzmaster design and anyone that sees Lonely Boys vibrato can see the 6 rollers which I doubt you will be able to show me from ANY jazzmaster jaguar or any other fake GI joe guiutar. About the add reading '' I bought it because i thought it was a 62 strat, was half true as I told myself that if it isnt the 53 first strat ever made at least its a 62 vintage strat . And lastly twelvebar I find you totally dishonest how you manipulate the words of Vinny Pop like in the above example I have shown you. I have appologised and do not want to sell Lonely Boy but in future will always stick to details and this is the detail Lonely Boy IS THE MOST FAMOUS VIETNAM FAKE STRAT on the planet. And lastly twelvebar we are entering a phase of peace now and if you want to cause Vinny Pop trouble DONT as I will not respond to you or anyone who gives me pain GO JUDGE YOURSELF twelvebar and look at yourself in the mirror.
And lastly my experience with Lonely Boy and the knowledge and insight I have now gained in the history of Fender and styles copies etc runs rings around you hahhahahhahahahahha blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and twaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I, for one, am glad that Lonely Boy is no longer up for sale. He has a nice home with Mr. and Mrs. Vinny Pop, and I'm pleased to hear he'll be staying there, where he's loved and understood. ;)

Don't worry, Vinny - I showed Mrs. Simon your post and we both had a good laugh about it.

I'm glad to hear your music will be more widely heard, Vinny, and I'm glad that makes you happy.

As for Lonely Boy Jnr, I've played him every day for several hours - and I've had him for a fortnight yesterday! It's a habit that's become a bit of an addiction. I recommend the highway one model, Vinny; they're addictive, but not bad for your health! (Jnr says hello, by the way).

:D

Hey - I was just checking out these pics re: Serviceman Jaguars...not sure if you have seen it. FYI, note different letters and numbers in neck/pockets (including "61", "19", "6", I9-P, etc. - doubt those represent mfg years).

BTW, read the text - some clown in CT. bought one and thought he discovered a Fender prototype too!

http://www.jimshine.com/phillipino/viet ... copies.htm

"...I made a few more phone calls and within a day I had learned about these Vietnam Serviceman Forgeries, most made in the Philippines. In 2000 I had a guy contact me after a VG printed a letter of mine in their mag. He was a traveler whom frequented the Philippines, and actually had a Philippine wife. She had family that worked in a shop that made these guitars....most of these were distributed by a company named Teo Dor, a sporting goods company.
...
...However a year later he told me he sold it to a guy in Connecticut that learned it was a real Fender Prototype!..."

Based on that, I can see why so many people have been duped - that was the whole purpose of those things. Sad, really.
