Vinny I would say Mark Knopfler's Schecter with the fender logo was/is a lot more famous.

Hi chanman: I bet you are following that Ebay sale closely. Are you hoping to add Lonely Boy to your stable?

It would certainly be the crowning glory to any collection...

:D - C

I'm considering spending money on that, or a '07 Mary Kaye Reissue, believe me it is TOUGH ;)

Has anyone pointed it out to Alainlafrance?

It is sure to be a classy addition to his stable.

hahahhaa Ceri I love your dry wit and yes contact alainafrance and tell him her about Lonely Boy. This guitar should be written in the next great Fender book. And I really do have a Vietnam vet who is interested maybe thats why I scored it to make him feel happy and remember good times with his mates instead of the bad times he suffered. OMG Lonely Boy the guitar is now turning into a wooden Angel of goodwill to the world.

The pickup should have the initials LF on it as it would have been wound by Leo Fender. If not, I think you have to dismantle the pickguard and rearrange the pickups such that the two good ones will function exactly like three originals.

So what?!?

Have you ever seen the videos of how Stevie Ray Vaughan treated his guitar?

So what? So what?

Didn't you hear the man? He twisted his nipple off with his headstock. Damn that brings tears to the eyes: have some sympathy...

(Man I hate it whenever that happens. Well... Twice, to be exact...)

^^^ What Vinni means is that the previous owner got mad because the tuners wouldn't tighten down and stop turning, they just kept turning.... so he took a pair of pliers and twisted the tuners off! (the same as twisted its' nipples I believe)

Hey, I wonder if the Vietnamese are still making strats.... I think a new one would be cool. Actually, Lonely Boys is quite cool too. Still no bids?

Hey, perhaps Hendrix played this one when he was in 'Nam?!?!

Gday strataholic, its gaining interest like a fully loaded steam train but as yet nothing, I think 1295 is a reasonable price the guitar works perfectly now except for 1 pic up ,have to pull my finger out and try and fix it then I can charge an extra 100 bucks hahahahahhahaha this is Aussie dollars not usa so in usa dollars its about I think 850 - 900 US Dollars. In Vietnamese yes probably about 75 Million dollars.
