Vinny, Correct me if I am wrong, But you said you wrote the song haileys comet or however it is spelled? I seem to remember hearing shinedown play that tune? Not sure who it was, but I have heard it on the radio. Can you explain that?

And don't take our crap too seriously, we are all enjoying your posts!

Hey, Vinny.

I'm in Melbourne as well - perhaps we could meet up sometime, and I could take some pictures of your more important guitar treasures? I've got a camera, and have no problem when it comes to uploading pictures to the internet.

Ceri, Where did you get that picture of my guitar?

Hi Jason: that photo was originally posted on this famous thread:

http://www.fender.com/community/forums/ ... excellente

Worth a glance, though unfortunately most of the offending photos have since been removed. Round here that thread used to count as wacky and notorious - but not any more!!!

Cheers - C

PS To Vulkan: thank you for Raskolnikov-esque. Squirrelled away for future use...! :D

Thankyou fhopkins no worries and hello bigjay wheres the puff hmmm
Berties, in 1987 my first manager was Alan Kissick he was instrumental in the first management of The Easybeats and also secured 2 members for the first generation ACDC a bass guitarist called I believe Neil Smith and the drummer they stayed with ACDC for one year around 73/74. My highlight was when in 1988 Alan asked me to take him to a hotel and he never told me anything but when we got there in a poshy room was Dicky Diamond the bass guitarist real name Richard Vandersleuz and his girl friend of The EasyBeats. We became friends and he came over to my parents house ate some spaghetti and meatballs then we went out the 3 of us wiuth his babe. That night we visited 2 clubs discos and we never paid to get in they respected him the best part was when my bro and I and Richard jammed on FRiday On My Mind a realllllllll buzzzzzzzzzzzz

Did this all happen before or after your brief marriage to Kylie Minogue?

The Wood 1987

Certainly EVH couldnt entertain like our Vinny. This thread is the pinnacle of internet entertainment and social grace.

One thing is that proto57 your guitar? Rick Excellente said he didnt own it anymore.

If so can we have a picture with a piece of paper through the strings with some message written on it. e.g 'hello Vinny'.
