Hey guys I just got a loaded pickguard with Fralins in it fpr my MIM and am about to install it. Just pulled the stock guard and there is one more ground that on my new setup. The stocker has hot and ground to the jack and then a ground under the bridge pickup in the cavity and also another ground on the trem claw. The new setup has a hot and ground to the jack, but just one more ground. Do I just run it to the trem claw and forget about the one in the pickup cavity? Or should I just add another ground from the pickup cavity to the back of the volume pot? Thanks.

On your's and many other models, Fender uses shielding paint on the guitar's body to aid in suppressing 60 cycle hum. That is why that extra ground to the bridge pickup's cavity is there. The effectiveness of this shielding varies from guitar to guitar, depending on the owner's playing environment(s) and overall electronics selection(s). Personally, I don't feel there's any dramatic difference with or without it but that's just me.

Seeing that you've got the guitar apart, everything is right there and it is simple enough, you may as well add that ground from the cavity to the pot. It can't hurt and possibly, can only help.
