Hi everybody,
I'm just full of questions about my new (first ever) Strat. I was going over the spec sheet and found this:

"Master Volume,
Tone 1. (Neck Pickup),
Tone 2. Delta Tone™
(“Delta Tone” system includes high output bridge pickup and special No-Load tone control for Middle and Bridge Pickups) "

What exactly is the Delta Tone system and what does No-Load control mean?

It has a tone pot (the bottom one) that has an indent at 10.With the pot at 10, the tone pot is taken out of the circuit and you hear nothing but the pickups themselves. The bridge pickup is hotter than the other two.I find that if you roll the tone off to about 6 , the bridge pickups fattens up considerably.

I thought that indent was a bent shaft on the pot or something. I'll have to try it. Very interesting. Thanks!

Yeah. That setting can get a little shrill though, and I usually roll it down to about 8 or so. But I mess with my tone knobs more than most.

I actually have that tone knob wired to control all my pickups. My middle tone knob is actually a volume fader for the JB Jr on the bridge, to dial up everything from pure single coil to full humbucker. (as opposed to the normal one-or-the-other coil tap most guitars have)

Go figure Fender: :?

For the selector switch the positions are numbered 1-5 beginning with the bridge.

For the tone controls the pots are numbered 1-2 beginning with the neck.

Schizos all :!:

They should know that this is the reason we ask so many damn questions :?
