Exactly! The more guitars a person puts away, the fewer they will play. To me, a case at home protects a guitar from getting picked up and played. Of course, to each his own. Kids might be a good reason to hang a guitar high-up on the wall, but if it's put away, a child certainly won't inquire, and maybe even won't care to pick up the habit of playing and making music.

I wouldn't hang your guitars on the wall. Keep them in their hard case next to each other, either vertically or horizontally.

Guitars on the wall are subject to dust, sunlight, humidity changes, moisture (rusty strings among other things), and can fall off in an accident (kids, friends, whatever).

I know some folks like to show them off, but that has been my personal experience.

Mine all hang. If you play them often enough, no need for worry about dust, rusty strings, etc.

I just get frustrated pulling it out of the case each time I want to play as my dwelling is not a huge place to live.

Yeah, when you play as much as I do, you want easy access. Honestly I hardly have any dust on my guitars, ever. I have to change my strings long before they get rusty. I used to keep my Fender in the case all the time, but found I did not play it all that much. Now it hangs and is in my hands every day.

when I first started playing I had a Les Paul copy that got knocked over and ever since that night if I am not playing it or it isn't strapped to around me I put it in the case or have it stored away. I just try not to risk it. Probably a bit over protective but I live my HWY 1 Tele and don't want anything to happen! 8)

All on stands where I can see them in the music room. I have some of those music store stands that hold six in two tiers of three, and that saves room. And for the days when too busy to go to basement but want to touch strings, there is a Strat on a stand in my bedroom closet and a practice amp so I can make five minutes worth of noise.

I have all my guitars hanging on an interior wall. I recomend it be an interior wall so as not to be affected by the cold in the winter or the heat in the summer which could transfer thru an outside wall.
