Hello Cliff.Lee,

Store them in a hard case.
Always safe and dust free.
Down or up is fine.

Cheers.

In a case... Also, If you don't plan on playing her for a while you should also loosen the strings a couple of turns... But, for me, that is never the case! :D

Up or down is fine. One tip -if you have more than 2 guitars I would advise you to not stack them.

In the cases for me as well, laying down standing up what ever they take up room. Can't store them like the forearms in a safe except for the one thats always on hand!!!!

Both mine hang on the wall. One too many accidents with them on the floor in stands. In cases is cool, but then I do not see them nor can I hear them. They do not call to me to pick them up and play them. The case just muffles their voices.

As much as I love to look at my new Strat, it stays in the case. I like it dust free and safe. My other guitars on stands get dirty quick. They sit right next to the sliding door which is usually open. I have dogs and kids too so... my new Strat gets put away when not being played.

i used to have my six axes on individual stands which is great if you have lots of room. they look good and the neck is secure. but for practicality i went and got one of those rockstand cases that unfolds into a stand for seven guitars. much better for my small room. i put it in a corner and make sure no drunken idiots are in the room tho, since the necks are not held in place. that would be a great upgrade for the thing, dunno why they didn't do that.

I have one on a wall hanger, one on a floor stand, three in a rack. The rest stay in hard cases standing on end. No kids, dogs or drunken idiots around here. Keeping them out in the open makes me play more often, and they look good.
