Mexicans have been building our Fenders since the "50's. They're still building them and they're doing just fine. FENDER!!!

Where is the japan option?
I heard a lot good and bad things about mexicans, the chance to get a good one or a bad one is 50%-50%.
I have a japan superstrat and I am very happy with it.
about the japanese I heard, that they are good, almost the same as americans and definitly better than the mexicans.

Fender. It does not matter what county it is made in as long as you like it. Play all models and see which one you like the best.

I'm thinking in buy one of those "road worn" strats. I heard something about wood quality. They use better woods in california for the american strats?

Also, I heard something about the finishing of the guitar. Is an important thing?

The Poly or Nitro question, this thread might never end.

Does it matter? For the look yes for the tone who knows...

This one is a multi part answer so i can't take part in the poll..My opinions are based on the Standard models and not custom shop or signature/deluxe or ultra models...
If you are talking about bang for your buck i would say MIM..If you are talking about early 90's sorry but i would have to say the MIJ..If you are talking about overall it is the American Standard..So you can see were there is alot of parameters.
I own all 3 of the previous mentioned guitars..I play the MIM the most.. But i also set it up with John Suhr V60 pickups that make it sound better than any guitar i own.
I think the MIM's are a fantastic value guitar.. I bought mine last fall and it has been my #1 guitar since..The John Suhr pickups i got in trade for an effects pedal..But even if i would have payed the full price for them which is $240..With the original price of the guitar $320(Store tag price $400 plus 15% discount at Guitar center) that means for a price of $560 i have this excellent sounding guitar.. I cannot complain about that at all..If you figure that the bottom line Gibbys start at what $800 and aren't even close to the quality of the MIM Fenders..Fender's are a great value wither MIM,MIA or MIJ

I wish the moderators would prohibit posts on this topic. It's so dead.

I think Mexican Strats are better than American Strats for the price because Mexican food is better than American food for the price IMHO<_<

 That's a good thing, would have been awkward if it did >_>

Since we're going down that road, I'll also make the argument that MIM food is also generally more musical then MIA food, therefore MIM strats are more musical than MIA strats. At least that is what logic leads me to believe <_<

Edit: Woot I got mah first pick ^^
