hi recently put custom shop 69s in my strat.

i loove the neck pickup on cs69s, not so keen on middle and bridge pickups. they bit too bright for me! great for rhythm but just too cold for bluesy lead. thats only my opinion!

is it possible to keep neck pickup and put hwy1 stock pups at bridge n middle????

thanks
louis

Did you try to lower the pickup heights to lose some of the brightness? I have a set of CS 69's in mine and I like them. I have also at times had the CS 69 neck pickup in at the same time with my stock american standard middle & bridge and it worked fine. Sometimes I install a stacked humbucker in the bridge with the CS 69 neck and middle. I dont see any reason you would have a problem.

hi randy1, yeah i did, u can only do a bit, otherwise b and high e are too weak! they are nice pickups. i just cant get them to sound as nice as the hot alnico3s that come with the upgraded highway1s. yeah im sure it will work fine, will speak to my tech

cheers m8 :D

Try just lowering the bass side more. This will keep the B and e closer to the strings.
