G`day all....i was just wondering after reading heaps of threads,whether i have an unusual Strat?
Back in `95 my wife decided it was time i got myself a "proper" guitar,having played numerous knockoff`s all my life(i was 24 at the time).

So we went to a little music store in Bristol, I was living in England at this time...."Treble rock" i think was called, and looked at their reissue Strat`s.

We both liked the sonicblue `62 but it had a rosewood neck, at the same time tried a `57 salmon pink with a maple neck.

After much deliberation, decided that we liked the sonicblue with maple neck from the `57.........see where this is going?

Anyhoo, after having a chat with the store owner, he agreed to swap neck with body for me!

So i came away with the `62 sonicblue body and the `57 maple neck as a hybid reissue.

Is this an unusual combo of part`s ?

Just wondering on the spec`s of my beloved "Wife number one"?

It is unusual in the sense that a store owner would do that; it is not unusual among players to do such things.
