I was wondering if it's a good idea to replace my 2008 AM standard strat pick ups for the area 58 set??? Is not that I don't like the sound of my pick ups, on the contrary, I love them and I don't want to change them, but I was just curious. Or maybe another type of pickups?? What do you think, or recommend??

It totally depends on what you like. What I hate you could love and vice versa. But if you love the pickups you've got, why change them?

Is not that I want to change them, is just that I don't know how others sound. There's no a lot of chance of trying PUs here at the island.

Texasguitarslinger is right...

if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

But if you really have the urge... then go for the Custom Shop '69s!

By the way, where do you live?

+1
The CS 69's sound really cool, a bud of mine has em and they sound great. I considered those when I upgraded my mia strat, but I ended up mail ordering lindy fralin's blues specials based soley on the reccomendation of a local custom shop guy. I am so happy with them. They have the old school wax dip, with the oldschool insulated wires, sounds good to me. Im sure you will enjoy whatever you choose, and you will sound unique.
