I bought a '92 Strat yesterday. It's Olympic White with a rosewood neck. The shop where I bought it had 9 American strats from '83 to '03 in various conditions. I played them all and had a tough choice between this one and an '03 3 colour sunburst with a maple neck. I bought this one because it has a warmer tone and sounded quite a bit different than my '97 custom shop '54. The sunburst one sure was pretty though.

Here it is with the Aztec Gold custom shop.

Very nice! in a few more years when that body becomes a bit more creamier and contrasting against that board, oh man - she's going to be SICK. I'm diggin' that grain on the neck as well. Outside of CS, the 90's has some of the best grains I've seen. Definately an 11!

Are those Graph Tech saddles on your new Strat? If so, that's where the warmer sound is coming from. If you ever decide the sound is more dull than warm, losing the Graph Techs will do the trick.

Thanks for the comments guys.
I like the grain on the back of the neck as well (doesn't come close to my gold guitar's neck though). I like the walnut skunk stripe as well.
I think that the saddles are stock, but maybe they're graphite. Anyone know if they came on the standards of that era?
