I just replaced the stock pickups in my 2006 60th Anniversary MIM Strat with hot noiseless pickups. Everything went smooth except the middle pickup has no output when the five way switch is set to the middle only position. It works fine when used with the bridge or neck pickup, but not by itself.
Anyone have any idea what could cause this?
Thanks

Recheck your wiring.

I looked it over again and don't see anything obviously wrong or any loose connections. I did have a little trouble with the 5 way switch when I first finished. The switch wouldn't go easily into the neck only position. I did a little manipulating with it and got it working in that regard. I just wonder if there was a problem with the switch to begin with. I installed a new switch, jack, and pots from a Mojotone kit. Is there anything I can check with a meter? All the pickups checked good before I started the install.
Thanks

Check that the contacts of the switch are mating and that they are not twisted nor have balls of solder on them.

Those 5 way switches can be a little tricky. One little rogue drop of solder can cause a short which would cause the problem you describe.
