Here are the 4 pictures I am surprised I was able to do this as computer challenged as I am. Thanks for the help. Now maybe I can find out when and where this was made.

Not real sure what you have there but here is a link to what a 54 should look like. You may have a partsocaster,

If its a partsocaster, thats okay, I paid less than 250.00 for it. I like the way it feels & plays. Its got a real nice sound. I am most interested to find out the year so I can get a tremolo bar for it. As I understand it the screw holes are different sizes depending on when the guitar was made.

As long as you like the guitar and you are satisfied that's all that counts. Good luck my friend! :)

You'll have to take it apart and show us pictures for us to give you more information. Whatever's printed on the base of the neck and in the neck pocket can help a lot.

The underside of the pickguard could have some information written on it too. The pots have a date code. The pickups could be dated as well.

It looks like the bridge saddles are plain: no words stamped into them, is that right? Here's some other useful information: measure the center to center spacing of the outside screws that hold the bridge to the body.

I won't take it apart, I had trouble enough getting pictures up, I am not Mr. Handy. I will probably bring it to 1 of 2 "experts" in guitars in my area and let them tell me what they think. Thank you everyone for all your help.

Will you let the experts take it apart?

Please come back and tell us what you learn.

I too have never trusted the accuracy of guitar dater. Its ok for run of the mill stuff, even japanese stuff, kinda. It doesnt cover vintage reissue or customshop though.

The only thing I konw is that it's a '62 reissue since there are 11 screws. A '54 reissue has only 8 screws. I had found a great site made by a contour body collector. You may find it with a little patience. The guy is american too.
