Oh sorry, my mistake, you mean the red sunburst guitar between the two Strats?

That is some new design of guitar by a little known American guitar manufacturer called Gibson. I think it is called a Les something or other?

Haha, I love your humor!!!

The third guitar from the left, the awesome blue stratocaster is the best guitar in the collection!

what is the Surf Green strat? classic 50s? '57 RI? in the market for a Surf Green '57RI...

The Surf Green strat is an American '57 reissue. It is actually a 1980's one though, so I guess it's kind of vintage in its own right now!

All the wear and aging you see on it is natural.

Thanks

Russ

Thank you for your comment, the colour is actually called Aquamarine. It is a 1999 American Standard and is fitted with the S1 switching system and Fender Hot Noisless pick ups.

It sounds and plays absolutley awesome! I've heard mixed reviews on the S1 system, but I personally think that it is fantastic. I have read some reviews where people have commented that they dislike the system due to the fact that it changes the standard Stratocaster tones once engaged? Well of course! Otherwise it either may as well either not be there, or, just be fitted with a switch with no wires running to it. Obviously, once engaged, it offers many different tones which were not previously available on the guitar (which is the whole point of it and all great sounding in my opinion. Different, but all still very 'Fender' ), but when disengaged, it is just back to being a standard Strat with 5 way switching. I really don't see how people could give it a negative review. If you aren't keen on the tones, just don't press the button!

Anyway, that is my quick review on the S1 system :)

The Hot Noisless pick ups are great to. A fantastic classic Stratocaster tone and yet a little more powerful and totally silent.

That's a really nice couch, but what's all that debris on it?

Seriously, congrats on a fine collection!

Well, I certainly didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition...

Hi Tube Screamer: nice couch. So that's why flametop Les Pauls are sometimes called "furniture" guitars.

Cheers - C

Possibly the Aquamarine Strat followed by the Surf Green 57. Both play beaultfully although very different.

Love the tone of the 57, you can't beat a vintage Strat!

Thank you very much! It was actually brand new last week.

I'd always fancied owning a Gibson and finally took the plunge. It plays and sounds absolutely fantastic, obviously totally different to the Strats (not better, just different) and has that real nice fat Gibson tone!

I am very pleased with it.

Thanks,

Russ :D
