Hi everyone! First of all I want to salute you all! I'm here to talk about a guitar that a friend of mine gave me two years ago. My friend doesn't play the guitar and gave me his guitar as a present. I really don't know what model is this guitar. If someone know's it I would be really grateful for him if he told me! Sorry for my poor english and thanks!!!

Here you have some photos! Thanks!!!

I'm not sure what model it is but, it looks like you've got some work ahead of you. Should be a fun project though. Keep us posted on your progress.

Cheers

It looks like somebody's project guitar. A partscaster. It's not a Fender. If it plays then you've got your money's worth.

Hi!! Thanks for answering so fast! I also think that it can be a "partcaster" if anyone can tell me the year of those parts i'll update the guitar!

Welcome!

It is a very low budget, beginner's guitar of 'generic' Asian manufacture. The Fender logo on the headstock is a fake as it is positively not a Fender (nor any of its subsidiaries). New, it would cost in US Dollars, well under $100. As to the year, guitars like these have been made relatively the same since the 70s to the present so it is impossible to tell.

It still could be a lot of fun for you though to get it up and running.

The wiring looks like a home-brewed version of a Super Strat Wiring Kit that Guitar Fetish sells. In the mid-80s, Fender made a Strat with a similar wiring harness, but used DPST push buttons instead of toggle switches. However it's done, the nice thing about that setup is the ability to use all three pickups at the same time, as well as using the bridge/neck combination not available from a typical 5-way switch blade switch.

That is a "FAKE" Fender Stratocaster. The headstock and the fender logo looks very odd. The neck does not even look like a Highway one, as what someone mentioned. There is somthing about how the headstock is shaped that make it look very peculiar. Also, the Fender logo looks like it was hand written, not a sticker.

Don't bother trying to repair it. It will probably cost you about the same price of a Squire Strat to repair and buy parts for it. Might as a well buy a new Squire Strat which you can buy for about $120.

Martian is being kind here. What he REALLY means is that the logo looks like it was drawn by my 7-year-old son in very poor lighting.

Yeah that headstock just screams kindergarden art class  But in all seriousness i would suggest investing the money you were going to pay to get 'er fixed up and getting a squier bullet or affinity strat :D
