Oh! Nice timber! A three piece bod, clean, well matched grain. And a tasty looking fingerboard and headstock - love that Deluxe logo!

After all the agonising on this thread... you went with the one nobody was discussing! Classic - I like it!

Congrats; enjoy.

Cheers - C

Thanks Ceri.

I seriously was just looking at the Highway One or American Standards for Strats right up until the end. After I found out what kind of price I could get on the Deluxe it was thrown in the mix. Decided I'd probably never get another deal close to it on a new one and had to jump. Found a used righty locally and used it to feel out the decision. Thanks random craigslist guy!

So far I am liking it immensely. The grain is well matched and has a decent figure as far as Alder goes. Really wanted ash, but the only lefty Fender in ash is the Vintage '52 Tele and it was still priced out of my range. But I digress...

The sound is great so I'm in the camp of people who like the SCNs I guess. Good resonance on the wood. Can feel it in the headstock and bottom bout easily. Rings well with my ear on the horn. Haven't played much with the S-1 stuff yet, but it's there when I decide to I guess.

Overall a great guitar

Thanks fhopkins!

Just noticed that the locking tuners don't have the F on them. Guess that's one of those lefty nuances.
