I saw that an I think I'm going to sign up too. Haven't listened to all of the backing tracks but I will soon. I'm not sure yet but I think I'm going to use my strat with the texas specials. Looks like it will be fun

I just signed up. I'm probably not a contender or anything, but it's good experience and it's fun. I'm not sure about which backing track yet, but I'm going to work up a few and go with the strongest. :)

I have last years (2008) and this years (2009) backing tracks. The only differences:

New in 2009

Big Band Blues
Rockin' Blues with Back-Beat
Train-Beat Blues
Funky Rock Blues
Funky Mambo

Removed in 2009:

Modern Blues

Gil 8)

I'll most likely use my Cypress Mica JM Strat, my T. Turquoise strat, or my Copper '52RI. idk...

I'm planning on using "Slow Down Blues". I like the tempo, and key it is in. My teacher, Jerry Loos, won the District but got beat in the finals a couple years back. I'm hoping to make him proud!

They're actually holding the district competition at my local GC this year. Lots of very good Blues guitarists around here so I think I'll go and just watch. Not that I'm intimidated . . . well, yes I am.

I'll be signing up this weekend at the Winter Park, Florida location and I'll be using backing track "12 slow down blues". Not sure which guitar I'll play, Idon't think I have achance in hell, but I'm going to give it a go.

good luck to everyone.
