My Deluxe Strat has an N1 serial number dating it to 1991 or 92. It has some bodywork damage and I'm planning to have it rubbed down, repaired and resprayed. The current colour is a darkish non-transparent metallic red (I don't know the proper colour name but it looks original). The fingerboard is rosewood and the pickguard is standard white.

Does anyone know what colours were originally available for this model during this period.

I'm considering a colour change and would prefer to stick to what was originally available when the guitar was first produced.

What I really need is a colour chart for the American Deluxe from this period.

Somewhere I have all the Frontlines from back then, but it might take some digging. Maybe someday I'll archive them so I never have to search again..... Probably not though. I'll let you know if I can find it.

Welcome to the forum.
Wouldnt the damage be better cured by a touch up job. Theres a few refinishing experts around here. Why not post a picture of the damage and get a decent assesment of how best to cure it.
