Hi, I know this may not be the proper place for this question since it relates to Fender amps and NOT guitars but, I figured who better to ask than guitar players. I have a VOX AD15VT that I am planning on selling and replacing with either a Fender vibro champ xd or a super champ xd. Fender just had a price drop on bith models and puts them both in my price range (the vibro xd more so). I am looking for comments from people who have played the amps and their opinions. It looks like the main differences between the two are the wattage and the super champ has a dedicated clean channel. Can you dial in a sound as clean on the vibro as you can on the super champ or is the dedicated clean channel THAT much better. I'm guessing Fender did this for a reason. Maybe someone can explain that as well. Also, I should mention that the amp will be played only in my small apartment (volume levels are a concern). I will be playing through an 2008 MIM strat with Dimarzio area 58' & 61' pups and my musical tastes are classic rock, country, and some Texas blues.
Thank you all for any advice and opinions you can give me.

That's what the reviewers thought, with the Super Champ XD barely coming out on top.

Just play them both; if money is all it comes down to, get the cheaper one, since the users seem to score them really close.

I get some lovely clean sounds out of my vibrochamp xd. Its clean sounds are what the amp specializes in. The gain sounds are a bit naff, the distorted blackface is a usable sound though. The ONLY thing that lets the amp down is its speaker options are limited to a 4ohm speaker. An 8ohm would have been more versatile but would have lowered perceived output. Its too loud to have on full blast in the house and stay friends with the missus. So maybe a drop in volume for a better speaker setup would be a ok addition. The only other niggle is that i cant have reverb and tremolo effects at the same time without using a pedal for one of them.

Thanks for the info guys. I picked up a super champ xd today. I actually got it at Guitar Center. They have their holiday weekend sale going so, I got a pretty fair deal. Well,....I'm off to play.

Thanks again.
