Well, I have had a lot of troubles deciding lately. Which strat should I get?

Sunburst, maple

http://www.fender.com/products//search. ... 1144700302

Sunburst

On one hand, I love that classic unmistakable strat sound. On the other, I love floyd rose like I love black berries. On the other hand, If I don't string the guitar right, it goes out of tune when I "whammy", but, it could end of sacrificing strat tone for a floyd. What do you guys think? Oh and BTW, does the body of the Floyd strat seem different?

vintage tremolo bridge can actually do almost everything a Floyd Rose does with the only exception of letting go all the strings at the nut.
I prefer the feel of a vintage tremolo.
Floyd Rose is like ABS for cars, it is not a must, I am happy with my non ABS car with 4 ventilated disc brake. Never really wanted a car with ABS and never wanted a guitar with Floyd Rose.

Well it seems like an easy choice to me. You will not be able to do what you like on a regular trem. If you are really into floyds and bombing away and heavy abuse then get the floyd strat. I mean what more can ya ask for you want the best of both worlds well its available.

If you want something with a Floyd, buy an Ibanez. To me, Floyds on a Strat are just wrong. YMMV.

I HATE Ibanez. They feel, and look like cardboard.

Maybe if you are playing something like a cheap Ibanez Gio.

I'll be honest here, I am not impressed with the newer ibanezes. I have one from the mid 80's and it is absolutely superb. Look to at least a mid priced Ibanez. They are dramtically better. Country of origin means a lot with Ibanez. find a japanese one. The chinese and (I hear now they even middle eastern ones,) are vastly inferior. A friend gave me a free cheap Gio that a room mate of his left behind when skipping rent, and I couldn't believe it was actually an Ibanez when i first held it.

The japanese ones are a whole other world from those.

Good ibbys are out there, but you'll pay for a new one. Best to look for most any decent late 80's/early 90's shredder. It will have what you desire and the price won't be devastating. The reason for the price difference is that after artist models really caught-on in the mid-late 90's, companies started charging accordingly. There are tons of great axes out there for far less cash and are arguably far superior to some of these farcical aritist models.

I think this is easy enough to answer. I have owned guitars with both types of systems.

If you are into Metal and do a bunch of Dives, then the Floyd Rose is for you. It does have a little more nuaunces when it comes to intonation and setting up your guitar. Also I do not recommend changing what ever guage strings you start off playing on until you have mastered the set up/intonation thing. You will get tired of spending good money on something that is easy enough to do once you learn how to do it yourself. Of course the owners manual and Fender website will provide you with instructions on how to do it. Also insist the guitar shop sets up your guitar when you purchace it, the lower the better as long as there are no fret buzz anywhere on the neck. This should start you out on the right foot.

Personnally I like both tremelo systems. My next Fender will have the Floyd Rose tremelo.

Best of luck on your purchace. (of course pics are nice when you get your new guitar)

Put locking tuners on the standard trem Strat and you are good to go.
