I'm looking to buy a US made Fender Strat with a Hardtail bridge and I'm having a hard time. They quit making them in 2005 or so and I don't really want a Cray and don't want to spend the money for a Corigan Strat. Does anyone know a good place to look for a Hardtail? I check ebay, Harmony Central, The Gear Page, BAM, and the Les Paul forums, and I've also checked Guitar Center and Music Go Round, but I'm not finding much. I'm looking for more ideas.
Thanks,
tfancil

Thanks for the heads up but without even seeing the price, I can tell you that that guitar is way out of my price range:) I'm looking for one made in the 90's- 00's that I can get for around $700.00. I've got 1 now and I'm looking for a backup.
Thanks for the cool pic though!

It's just right over your price range, it sells for 9758$.

That is a bit over my budget, besides, I don't really buy into the whole vintage and relic game, to me that guitar is just old and damaged:) Why would I want to pay extra for that?
My first guitar was a natural ash 1974 Strat hardtail with a rosewood neck. I bought it for $250.00, the neck was loose, the tuners didn't work very well, the pots were scratchy, the finish was cracked, and it weighed a ton! At the time is was only 4 years old! Would I like to have it back? You bet, but not for over $2000, it was what it was, a Fender Strat with issues:)

Well then, it seems that you will have to be patient and keep checking every day ... good luck on your quest.

The talent lever?

Maybe that's why I have no talent, I don't use one of those........

I found a couple on Craigslist but I don't seem to get any response to my emails, so I gave up on them.

I've got a 2003 with a trem and I like it the way it is, but I still would like to have another hardtail:) There is just something about a string trhough the body that I really bond with!
