Go to www.xhefriguitars.com and email Jeff off his 'contact me' link. He's the Strat Plus guru of the world to my thinking.

Yes Jack Doc is right if anyone would know it would be Xhef. I love that guys site he is the plus series guru. I have a beautiful blueburst Strat Ultra that is just a killer guitar. I dont understand why Fender does not revive that ax especialy as hot shredding is these days. They could just come uo with a new set of hot pickups and maybe a piezo bridge like on a Petrucci mm. I think that would be a big seller.Fender never hits it right with guitars with humbuckers but this guitar revived and brought up to todays specs might just be it.

I have an ultra, too... you need a snap-in arm. All the Strat Plus series had them. If you can't get one locally, there always seem to be one or two on eBay... here's one...

*edit* hmm... according to Xhefri, not all Deluxe models had the snap-in arm. The '89-'93 models are the most likely to have had it, though. If your old one had no white tip it was a snap-in arm, and if it did it was a regular screw-in tremolo arm which would be even more of a snap to replace. Pardon the awful pun.

The current American Deluxe models have the pop in trem arm.

Sorry to hijack, but does anyone know where to get a replacement spring for the bottom of the trem arm hole?

Correction, Jeff AND me. (though I don't have an awesome site... :( )

The reason you need a snap in is due to the fact that your son's guitar employed the Fender Floyd Rose II, the ill-fated venture Fender took into the locking-bridge world. the Plus Deluxes I have owned have all had a Two-Point.

@Straycat: I'm in the market for a Blueburst Ultra. interested in parting with it?

Chanman, Rumble street the famous vintage guitar store in Ithaca N.Y had opened a small store in my old neighberhood in Park $@!&# Bklyn. To tell you the truth that is one of the only guitars Iwanted to buy before ever even plugging it in. I was never even aware of the Ultra till I saw it that day and after plugging in for half an hour it came home with me 5 years ago for a grand. It is mint and a great guitar well I would not have to tell you that. I had seen one on ebay in Blue Burst a few months ago. I am sorry Chan but I am fond of that one and would not part with it. But I am an Ebay hound and I check a lot of other places for gear.I will deffinetly keep you in mind the minuete I see one for sale and will get in touch with you when I do. I think you would know better than me but is blueburst a harder color to come by as compared to other colors I dont see to many of them .I think with shred being so popular today and that Fender never has had a bona fied humbucking super star guitar they should revive it and bring it up to date with some hot humbuckers and maybe a trem like on the music man Petrucci I think the guys would go nuts for a revamped Ultra what do you think Chan.

No. I'm waiting for answer to the email I sent. I read through his site and he mentions that both screw in and pop in types were used so I want to be sure what I need first.
