I am getting ready to buy a VG anyone got any good or bad advice. I have owned a 1965 Strat for over 35 years & want to semi-retire it for it's own safety. I am hoping the VG will still give me that good Strat feel & sound with the added plus of the Roland electronics making it even more special to me. I am also thinking that it may become a collectable later on when I leave it to my daughter along with my '65 Strat. Would like to know where I could find information on how many were made, etc. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Single. nobody knows what the future holds but if you want a VG this is your last chance and best time to get one. I myself do not own one but a lot of the guys on the forum love em and as you know they are very versatile. I would believe you know by know they are being discontinued and at the price you can pick one up for now I cant believe you would lose a cent on a resale. You can pick one up on ebay MINT with stickers and tags for as low as $950. I have a couple in my ebay box right now for under a grand as I might pull the trigger on one soon before they are gone.Just putting a lil scratch together after a major GAS attack.

Thanks Guys, I am getting one tomorrow at Guitar Center $999.00. It will be a Sunburst with a maple neck. I slept on the idea last night & woke up with my decision. Thanks for reinforcing my plan. Will let you know how I like it.

Single can't go wrong... Just buy rechargeable batteries 2 sets and a charger. I only get about 4-5 hours out af a set. The Strat will still work without the batteries but make sure all your knobs are set to normal. Also do not leave the guitar plugged in when not using it or you will shorten your battery life.

Take pictures. The twin of yours is in the middle of this pic.

The pressure is really building in the summer heat and humidity for a 3-colour burst with rosewood board.

If the plunge is taken though, 'can't buy any ciggie-butts for the next five-odd months.

Oh, wait, 'don't smoke....

See if you can get the FSR Deluxe V-neck in Aged Cherry Burst over ash. About $100 more. There may still be a few hanging around Guitar Center stores nationally. Buy it solely for what it is worth to you in its uniqueness. Who knows what's coming down the pike of that ilk from Fender next.
