After having his custom tele made he is now having a strat version released next year. If anyone has seen it, what do you think?

Do you mean Jim Root?

If so I think this is what you are talking about.

I really don't know anything more about it.

I prefer his tele. Same spec hardtail and 81's or some variation.

yes i meant jim root. I think it looks well cool. I love the teles he has, the emg 60 and 81 are awsome for lead and rythm when used with distortion or clean. I do like my stanadard strat aswell but was just wondering what other people thought of it. :D

Let me guess... Flat black nitro finish and a hard tail? Probably another bastardized 'Stratocaster' made up of a rebranded Billy Corgan Strat which is actually just a hardtail highway 1 with different pickups. Just what we need..

well actually jim used flat black on his tele before corgan did on his strat. and his tele was based round a flat head and a charvel san dimas with a couple of changes, so his strat by the looks of it is based more round that. obviously we wont know for sure until the specs are released.

Jim is looking to up his cash flow by whoring himself for another artist model. Maybe Slipknot ain't doing so well?

Yes it's a neat guitar, but my son just bought a direct mounted HH Squier Stratocaster for $100 (one vol one tone). I'll bet I can disconnect the tone control and fit it with EMG's for a whole lot less than that Strat's gonna cost.

I just can't see the eventual price of the "Signature" being equal to the performance of the guitar.
