I'm replacing the pickups on my strat with new pickups in a prewired pickguard, and I figured while I have everything open, I might as well wire a bridge tone control since I always needed one. I've heard you can wire the bridge to the middle tone control so it works for both pickups. How would you go about wiring this, and is it something that an inexperienced solderer(?) can do? any help would be appreciated.

Go to guitarnuts.com/wiring/simplebtone.php It's just soldering on a capacitor. 8) Mike

Very, very simple:

Follow the white wire from your lower tone pot to the terminal it is soldered to on the pickup selector switch. You will see right next to this terminal on the same side of the switch, an unused terminal. Solder a jumper wire from your lower tone pot's terminal on the switch to this unused terminal. That's it! There are no additional capacitors involved.

Actually, I hadn't looked at the link until you just asked.

You do have the right link but the link suggests adding an additional weaker value capacitor so it will weaken the value of the existing capacitor when the toggle is selected for the bridge or middle pickup. In many cases, this added capacitor causes a perceived reduction in volume too when selected. IMO, this additional capacitor is redundant and unnecessary, especially if he's got a no-load pot as that lower tone control. And let's not even get into if he has the infamous, "treble bleed" circuit.
