Thanks again fellows!

Yes the difference between in and outdoor photos is large. Outdoor photos get a blue cast that is hard to balance out with my simple camera, and the CCD does not handle the higher contrast levels very well. I have a better camera on my wish-list, but it's more fun to buy guitar parts. :D

The indoor photo colors are very close, maybe a little on the yellow side, the Anigua pickguard is avocado green.

My Highway One had some neck issues, strings choked when bending past the 10-th fret. When getting such a pristine neck for the Partsocaster 1 I quickly decided to get another one in rosewood.

This leaves me with an extra neck to play with, I'm thinking of refretting it just by curiosity to see if it improves, and maybe build a third Partsocaster. Or why not get a Telecaster body for it? Just food for thoughts... 8)

Dead serious here. Partocaster II is the best looking guitar I have ever seen. FANTASTIC job on it.

The idea was to make something unique, and I came up with the corroded metal idea or "preserved decay" as we came to call it, like taking a rusty metalized Strat body and seal in in a clear coat.

We had no idea what it would look like when finished and said; Lets try it out. If it looks like crap we can start over from the beginning.

My friend John, the guy visualized the idea, picked it up at the paint shop when clear coated on his way to work, and displayed it there for a day. He told me that customers stopped and asked about it and wanted to feel the finish.

Meanwhile I was a bit skeptic myself, I've only seen it in broad daylight without the clear coat, and that's a whole different thing. The minute I saw it with clear coat I fell in love with it. No way we're going to scrape it of and start over!

I might even sell the idea to Fender... 8)

Both of the Partscasters look awesome!

I was wondering where you got the large sheet of copper foil. I would like to shield my Classic 60's Player's Strat and am running into roadblocks in locating the foil for the back of the pickguard.

Thank you!

Thanks again!!

I buy the large sheets (1 ft sq) of copper foil at Guitar Parts Resource, where I buy most of my parts. Main page here.. Also Stewart-MacDonald have lots of goodies. Both are very fast and accurate.

I like The first one more then the second but they are both nice. Also a nice web page set. :D

Well, I do not mind an Olympic White Tele to match my white Strat. then again... a butterscotch Tele is classic... Or a two tone... Or...
