I have a 1987 American Series Strat with the original stock pups. I am looking for new pups with the classic 60's era sound (ala Clapton during his Dominos period). I play mostly blues & classic rock on the Strat. ANy recommendations, thoughts and opinions would be appreciated.

Before I forget, I use a Roland Micro Cube for practicing at home and a Super Champ XD for jamming with friends.I

You might also roll off the volume for your regular "rhythm" playing (and turn it to 10 for your leads).

Adjusting the height of your pickups will change your tone, sometimes in a big way.A lot of guys look to swap out there pups then adjust the height and bingo they find the tone they were looking for.
