I ahve a MIM '99 Stratocaster and the maple neck is showing some wear. I was wondering if anyone knew of a product that got the gunk out of the bottom of the frets and got the black stugg off the neck???
And if there is a product that gets rid of scratches on the body please let me know.

Orange, are you talking about ares wear you play a lot and it is discolered,if so there is nothing you can do about that as that happens with all maple necks and to me and a lot of other players it looks cool.As far as the gunk my friend there should be no gunk which tells me you are not ever wiping down the fretboard which you should do every string change for you to have such a noticeable amount is not good.Take off all your strings and get a polishing cloth with a lil warm water and clean the fretboard and get like an old credit card and try to slide it into the frets to remove heavy build up. You can buy the Fenderguitar kit that comes with the MIST AND WIPE/SWIRL & HAZE REMOVER/AND POLISH AND CONDITIONER. It is an excelant product and after applying all three you will see a lot of light scratches gone,but if you have any deep scratches or dents and dings those are there for good. I know how every dent and ding hurts and it should because that shows you care about your ax then again I dont get how you let your neck get so grimy but hey it is a 10 year old guitar now and these things add a lil relic touch the natural way.Just take better care of your neck as it is making your guitar a lot harder to play you will realize that after you clean it up .
