It's based on the Monterey Pop Strat, in case anyone is unfamiliar :)

Real nice CW.a very original piece .Did you stencil it yourself. Boy just what I needed to see. I have a very bad compulsive disorder and after just getting over a bad GAS attack I had to see this after getting over last summer getting 6 pieces in 2 months. I was just mentioning to my wife about getting another piece and she went nuts but after seeing yours and digging the concept. I will keep you posted. ITS ONLY ROCK AND ROLL BUT I LIKE IT

Straycat- I drew a rough sketch and picked out the colors- the artist cleaned it up and did the stencil.

I got it at flyrite in Williamsburg- they're great! You should come up and have a few pints, man (may end up with a new piece sooner than you thought!)

I'm ENVIOUS. I've had a very similar tat idea going on in my head for a few years now, just never actually did it. I've always wanted something inspired by the Monterey artwork on my body. I finally got my first tattoo though, so the next one is coming quick. Don't worry, I won't totally cop your idea. Just something similar. :D

I like it.
