It's extremely difficult to see these colors in person. From what I can gather the Merc Blue looks like it has some gray in it. The Midnight blue seems to be a dark navy (like my old Z28) with some sparkle. any non-color blind owners out there that can describe it?

Don't know about Midnight Blue, but the Mercedes Blue Strat I have is almost black under poor lighting conditions. In fact the very dark 'charcoal blue' only really comes out when light is good or shined directly on it. It then sparkles a little like - it may sound obvious - a certain metallic car colour. Its quite attractive and just a little different to plain black. Don't know if I would ever describe it as grey though...

Have to say I'm glad I'm not a 'Clapton-Hunter', reckon I would go crazy chasing all those different colours! Plus I'd have much less time to play!

By the way Chris, thanks for the CS54 recommendation a few months ago, they are sweet in the AVRI!
