Sorry if it's been answered, I didn't find it in my search. So, could a (heavy) 2005 Am Del ash Strat (ACB) have a one-piece body? I'm asking because I can't find any signs of joining pieces. I don't consider it important, I'm just asking out of curiosity-I've had some time to kill today...Thanks.

Hello Diacomo,

Yes there is a possibility.
Look carefully at the end grain
that'll tell the tale, Sometimes Fender
matches em up pretty good. Number of
pieces would not be reflective of the weight.

Cheers.

Yes, because the would should be more exposed there. The only place where there may be a joint (and I can't see it) is the centre, where the lines run almost parallel, so if they're skilfully "blended" it's hard to see. There is no chance that it's a 3 or 4 piece body, I' m sure about that. I'll try to post a pic. Thanks for your replies.

I dont think i've ever seen a 1 piece body in person. They are extremely rare. I think the sunburst johnson is the only production model that guarantees it.
Would you care to upload a picture? I'm not good at spotting joints but some here are eagle eyed.

OK, the pictures show that it's a two-piece body, the pieces joined in the center. I couldn't see it before I took the picture. I'm really sorry I can't share the pics with you, I guess it's site policy- I have to post them idontknowwhere and provide you with links- things I'm not familiar with. Thanks, sorry again for not posting pics.

What do you guess the role of the duck near the headstock is?
