I once had a buzz/rattle problem and it was due to the pickups being too close to the strings. When the string vibrates the magnetic force from the poles inturupt the simple harmonic motion of the string, causing the strings to change frequency and amplitude slightly. Lower the pickups all the way down and see if you still have the problem.
