I am using lace sensor pickups (hot gold series) and I need some of your professional advice, which pot should I go with? So far I've heard to go with a fender 500k, but should I go with a fender 1 meg instead? thanks for the help!

by the way my frankenstrat is coming together, all that is left is to install the electronics!

They were designed with 250K in mind. If you go with 500K, the "hot" might disappear and the frequency response will spread out to where you have a midrange dip. Hence, the, "hot" will probably be replaced by a more late 60s Strat type sound which may or may not be to your liking.

If you mix 250K and 500K pots for the sake of a combination of the two per the above, there would be a bias with it leaning more toward whatever value you use for the volume pot.

1 meg would be semi-useless. It is too high a value and will add very little to the circuit in terms of volume and/or tone shaping where the most radical difference will occur at like, 4 to 0 as you dial back the pots. Your pickups would probably sound very generic. Meaning, you'll acknowledge that they are Strat pickups of a 'clanky' sort but that's about it.
