Yep, the "new" Road Worn Series Guitars are Mexican-made. :)

...but that's not too say they're bad or anything.

MIM's can be great guitars, though are pretty inconsistent. Once you find a good one, it's a great guitar for life. There's a bigger jump from a Squier to a MIM. The jump from MIM to MIA is a big one to some people that notice those refinements and want a top notch pro guitar. For most, those MIM's are very nice.

Nothing is official about the discontinuation of the Highway One. It is all just speculation by a few people. Fender has neiter confirmed or denied.

It's looking like it is going away with all the discount sales everywhere.

It looks like a serial process if there is a few of them together because they all have wear in the same places. When you look at one by itself it looks genuine enough. Some people have said that they wear pretty fast and you can't tell the factory wear from the real wear when you've been playing it for a while.

I've played some of them. I don't really know what a naturally relic'd guitar should look like because I've never actually seen one, but the Road Worns looked genuine enough. They feel good. The bare wood on the neck is wonderful and even the body feels great. And they sound pretty good too, I couldn't stop playing it.
