What is the one thing you like the best on your favorite strat???

My favorite strat is my 2005 Am. Std. and I personally love the rolled fingerboard edges. It makes playing that guitar so comfortable.

Share what you like best about your baby!!!

Every single thing about it. If I had to pick one, it's the feel of the very worn in neck on my 98 MIA, that's played thousands of shows and countless hours of playing.

Hi deepindigo114: I also have a MIA 2005 and I agree, those rolled edges do it for me.

Cheers - C

The comfortable neck on my Hwy 1. Rolled edges are so nice. :D

I have to agree Deepindigo, Dgonz, and Ceri. My 05 is my first, most modified, most played MIA. The neck is broken in and the grain on the maple is standing out more and more as she ages. She has the sweetest tone and only one contoured neck heel, and an S1 switch away from being a Deluxe.

It's a tie between the comfortable neck and the Texas Specials on my Squier. I actually like that neck best of all my guitars, believe it or not.

Have an '07 American Deluxe. The entire guitar is a work of art. Everything is outstanding. Unless you go through the Custom Shop, you'll not find a nicer Strat. This is fact.

It may very well also be a fact that even the guitars out of the Custom Shop, (and there are several I'd like to own, a couple that I will), can't possibly be made with better quality control to function, fit and finish. Perhaps more consistant, but I can't be just the one lucky ba$turd that got the only good one....I bow to Fender for this guitar. (Actually, I bow to Fender. Period.) They nailed it here. And it comes off the production line.

Actually, almost everything Fender I own or have had my hands on lately, they nailed. Outstanding value, although....I'm forgetting the unreal price jack. Actually, I regret even thinking of that....sorry, I know it's a bit of a tender subject, still irritates me, way too big a jump in my mind at one time and I'll shut up about it now and for good, I promise....but in closing I'll say they're still well worth it, and if something happened to this guitar (which I got for $850...it had been bought then returned after 3 days; flawless with all the plastic and stickers covering everything, if something happened to this guitar, I'd go give $1600 to replace it.

I think.

Although the tones via S-1 don't do it for me, the neck pup w/a little reverb and a lot of volume is awesome. Love the bridge pup with a little tone rolled off and some dirt, and I also love #4.

But the neck....it's hard to pick a favorite portion of this guitar (I think I'll stick in a pic; remember, it ain't showin' off, it's show and tell)...the neck feels as though it was carved by Angels. And, it's a different part # from the neck on a Std.

With everything (except to me the S-1; but I'm sure there are many who love it) so stellar about this guitar, perhaps the most outstanding thing about it is the fact that it's mine.

I don't own a Tele. Guess which one I'll likely buy.

Hey Fellow StratHeads-

I just love the way she feels- The contour of her body, The feel of her neck...and the way she responds to my every touch....Gee now I need a smoke!

I didn't know the Hwy 1's had Rolled edges. That makes them a bit more appealing.

Like other people I love the neck on my AM Deluxe. Having not been a strat player before buying this one, I found the slightly longer scale length a challenge at first but it's been worth getting used too. The finish on these guitars is great and I've managed to get only get one ding on it so far!

Hello Deepindigo114,

My favorite Stratocaster would be my '62 hotrod.
It's nitro olympic white and the large neck is quite comfy{for me}.

The best feature it has though is it's monster tone. 8)

What would I change? I would like locking tuners.

Cheers.

I would have to say the neck. When comparing it to other guitars (some of which are much more expensive), it just fits and plays nice and smooth.
