Left to right:

'01 MIM Standard - w/ EMG SA pickups

'08 MIM Classic Players 50s Strat

Telecaster - Body of unknown origin with MIM Std neck and electronics -
recently rebuilt after being flooded by Hurricane Floyd in '99

'77 MusicMaster - also a flood victim brought back to life

Early 80s Memphis Les Paul copy - bolt on neck - found this one by the curb believe it or not and put in new electronics and tuners that were sitting in the parts box. The amp ('84 Carlsbro Cobra Lead 90) it is leaning on was also left by the curb

'08 Epiphone Les Paul Custom - Silverburst

Howdy Louie, and thank-you for the compliment.

Between Keeleys Blues Driver and 808, it really depends on what I'm trying to do and through which guitar...I tend to like my single coils better through the Boss and my humbuckers better through the tubescreamer. Generally, I've found the BD-2 to be a little darker. I typically have the gain dialed back to ~ 9 oclock on both, and will either run them both together when I want more or use the MXR, which I leave set up with more gain.

The guy who turned me onto that modded BD-2 got rid of the tubescreamers on his board after he bought it. NO WAY...that's an excellent overdrive, and I love it.

As you know, the BD is quite a bit more affordable.

One thing I'd suggest you consider is checking out used ones on the bay. Could've saved about $60 on the Boss if I had a little more patience, and probably more on the Tubescreamer.

thanks alot for your input.

yep think im gonna go with the bd-2. and will defenatly check out ebay.

thanks 4 ya help

A pleasure.

And DeVinci....I'd like to second the 'WOW's, but preface it with the mother of all expletives...most appealing to me is the one front and center...I scratched my Les Paul itch with an '07 Studio in Wine Red, which I love but...asthetically it only get's me half way there.

Well, thank you all for the WOWs.

I knew the flying V pickups were hot, but I have not been able to get a satisfactory sound out of them, they are just so harsh. The Robot SG is a beautiful guitar, lovely neck and head stock binding with a nice thin body, but the neck seems so long, and out there that it makes it difficult to play in the first 4-5 frets. The robot explorer is so nice, it is a real pleasure to play. Doesn't sound as harsh as the flying V, but it can rock.

My main two playing instruments are the '05 HSS and the '09 silverburst Les Paul Studio. Completely different beasts, but both such a pleasure to play. The Studio has the push/pull pots for some single coil effects.

The '09 Les Paul Traditional unfortunately just sits in her case. I am actually scared to play her lest I damage her. The fit and finish on that guitar is second to none, it is literally a piece of art. And lastly, the Dave Murray strat. Dave Murray is the reason I picked up the guitar in the first place. He was, and always will be my guitar hero. When they brought out this signature series I just had to have one. It has the nicest neck of any guitar I have ever played.
