Hi all,

I just received an email from Fender about the Limited Edition Woodstock 40th Anniversary Strat. There's a nice picture of a white, maple neck Strat, much like the one Jimi played at the festival. Except it has the 50's-60's small headstock instead.

Personally I like much better the big 70's era headstock, although I understand they're less popular than the smaller ones. But for a Strat like this, which won't even be for sale, IMO it's mandatory that it looks as close as possible as the one Hendrix actually played at Woodstock. I don't really understand the decision behind making them look generic...

In celebration of the cultural legacy of Woodstock, this customized Standard Strat® guitar is produced exclusively as one of only 40 and is not available for sale.

Because this is no custom shop or anything. It's a mexican standard with a woodstock decal plus you get the DVD...I would still like to win it

You make a good point. Weird idea: small headstock.
