Hey i need some tips on how to get my guitar to London tomorrow. Ive heard some horror stories of guitars freezing and necks busting. I just got a hardshell case for my strat. Its one of the moulded cases. Im just worried that something such as tempurature may screw up my guitar. What are some tips for my travel tomorrow?

Loosening your strings a bit, thats the only thing i can think of.

I've never had a problem like that. Acoustics are much more vulnerable to temp swings. All I can suggest is to make sure you let the guitar acclimate for 24 hours before opening the case. It's the sudden temp changes that will do the damage. Let the guitar warm up for a day before taking it out and using it.

The only time I've ever flown with my strat was from LAX to SAT about 10 years ago. I took it in a gig bag and expressed my worry about it being damaged to the check-in desk. They let me take it as a carry on. Maybe you could get cleared for the same thing? I'm not sure how today's flight security would affect that.
