Does the Fender bullet ends string really help with the stability of tuning with a tremolo guitar? Or can normal ball ends be efficient? Will using normal ball ends for Strat guitar damage the bridge block?

I never used bullit end strings in my life, only if they came with the
guitar. Never had any problems using strings with ball ends.
Also i use D'Addario guitar strings wich have no bullit ends.

I've been using Slinky's for 30+ years. Never had a problem.

Any good quality strings will work fine. Just make sure the ball end has firmly seated in the bridge block, so that it doesn't slip under string tension.

i used ernie ball super slinky's for years before I heard that bullet ends help. So I went out and got me some Fender strings with bullet ends. On the plus side, I did notice a bit more stability in the bridge. On the negative side, the strings corroded way faster than Ernie Ball's did.

Personally, I would rather have strings that last a little longer and keep tone longer, than strings that have a tiny improvement in stability.

I only ever used Bullets one time and found that they were buggers to get off. Seems those tapered ends really lodged into the block. Maybe I should have sprayed em with PAM first.

if you could only use bullets with tremolo bridges, then you wouldnt really have many options as far as strings, would ya? fender makes the strings, so of course they're gonna push 'em on you.

I use them on one of my Strats and they DO make a difference, IMO.

This is a '95 American that I use three springs with and It gets a lot of whammy use and always comes back true...YMMV ?

I know a few who use the bullits, but most say they are just so so strings. I have found a lot of luck using Dean Markley's Blue Steels, even on my Martins. They seem to have some stability a lot of sustain and well, don't die in a week.
