Hi folks,
I'm new here just because I ran into a deal on a like new Strat and a Fender Princeton 112 plus amp.
I've tried to ascertain the year of the guitar through the website but it lists sr#s as MN6 plus 5 digits as a 1996 1997.
Mine is MN6 plus 6 digits and the and the first and second number look to be the same "font" as the letters but different from the last five digits.
So, is it a 1996? a 1997? an odd ball? And are the bodys of late 90's guitars a one piece or three piece like some of the newer ones?

The amp is a 1996 from what I can tell and it is like new except for dust. The amp has some buzzing/popping but I'm thinking the dust may have something to do with that. Sound logical?

Anyone care to put a ball park value on these?
I've been lusting for a Tele but ran into this and finally got a Fender branded guitar and amp to go with my Blond 1974 Guild F40 and my Gretsch 5120, I guess I at least know how to keep it in the family!
Any help appreciated!!
