Does anybody know why John Frusciante has never gotten a signature Strat made?

Maybe he doesn't want one?

and how would a JF sig differ from a normal '62 reissue strat?

I was sort of thinking the same thing, I think I read somewhere that he didn't want one, just wanted some confirmation..
And I don't know how it would differ, maybe they could make a Relic kinda thing, his sunburst with rosewood neck has some peculiar wear/tear above the strings and the plate whatsitcalled .. you're sure he hasn't altered anything on his guitars?

From what I've heard he keeps them stock...

He uses a stock 1962 sunburst stratocaster that was given to him by Kiedes. If you want his tone, buy a 62 reissue.
