For blues dvds or cds to listen to, I suggest you listen to Robert Johnson first as his blues and his general guitar playing just blows me away. Other blues players, I suggest some Buddy guy, Robert Cray, Muddy Waters, Eric Clapton or Stevie Ray Vaughn being my personally favorite. Not a big fan of BB King, but he's a great blues player as well. There's tons of blues instructional books and dvds out there. Maybe you can check out some hot licks dvds. Great blues stuff in there as well. Congrats on your Knopfler strat! Great beginner to pro guitar.
