Hi squashman, welcome to the Forum.

First, I'd immediately use the "edit" button on that first post of yours to go back and remove that email address, if I were you. Never a good idea to post that sort of thing in public places.

Next, a good source in the UK for the particular part you are looking for is axesrus.com. It's clearly a somewhat homespun operation, but several of us here have used them many times and found them helpful and reliable.

For single-coil pup covers try this page:

http://www.axesrus.com/axepupcovs.htm#PUC

Note that there are two different sizes of single-coil covers, to match the two possible spacings of the pole pieces. Measure your pups to be sure of getting the right ones.

Cheers - C

Hi Ceri the items i am after are exact replicas of a 1954 strat, round edges, mini skirt controls, thanks

Ah right, OK.

Now I have a memory that Nikininja was talking about those mini skirt knobs just the other day - but I'm scratching my head to remember which thread it was on. I believe he mentioned a source for them...

Very likely he'll see this thread and give you a positive answer shortly. Or you could go wading back through his posts and find the right one.

Given that he's made over 5000 posts, I'd wait a bit to see if he looks in before searching!

Cheers - c

HA! Couldn't wait for The Ninja...

I'm noticing '56, '62 and '65 knob sets on this page:

http://www.wdmusic.co.uk/category/Retro ... ?limit=200

And there's '62 and '65 pickup covers too, though nothing spec'd as 1950s.

I know none of that is precisely the year and model you are talking about, but is it of any use to you?

Cheers - C

Oh, and there's these:

http://www.wdmusic.co.uk/category/Time_ ... Collection

Those claim to be 1954 spec. MAN, those are expensive! How important are your knobs to you...?

Sorry, are you saying you must have knobs made by the Fender Custom Shop themselves?

Then I guess it's the Custom Shop you need to be talking to...?

Squashman it was Alain laFrance's post. Here it is with a couple of links.
http://www.fender.com/community/forums/viewtopic.php?t=23125&highlight=skirt+knobs

Theres a few links in that thread that will get you those knobs for a price. They seem a bit expensive to me (129 euro's). I'd be tempted to wait and see if Alains mate makes a few anytime soon. Or get intouch with my mate Alan at project guitar parts and see if he can help you. Its a longshot but he always manages to suprise me.

Drop him a email and see if he can help.

If they have to be customshop i dont like your chances. You'd be better off posing the question in the Ask Mike Eldred section.

That was the one. Niki, it was Alan's thread, but seems I remembered right that it was you that posted the http://www.rebelrelic.com/parts.php link, which was the one I was thinking of.

Wow, those £95 light relic '54 knobs at WD Music (above) look almost reasonable now!

But if the gentleman must have Custom Shop knobs, the Custom Shop is the only place to get 'em. (Though I wouldn't be surprised if they originate from the self same source as some of those posted here...)

Cheers - C

I dont think fmic do small skirt replacement knobs. They'd be well in excess of £150 judging by other makers prices.
Still you never know, gotta be worth a try.
