Hi Everyone,

I recently switched from 9 gauge strings to 10 on my fender standard strat and now the bridge keeps floating. Rather than take it in to be fixed I'd prefer to learn on my own how to lock it and make it flat. I just basically don't want it to float anymore. Any advice would be much appreciated.

If you want to go from floating to "no float", all you need to do is either add springs (if you are okay with more trem resistance) or tighten the claw screws. Or both if you want to really lock it down.
