I have owned one of these since around 2005. I love it. I can't say much about the difference in tone from the suspended PUP models as My ears have been through 40 years of hard rock and metal, but the sound for me is hard to beat. It has a great sound clean, which is how I judge my axes. With proper effects you can get a good dirty sound from anything, but that clean bluesy Jazzy sound is hard to duplicate with out a quality guitar.
I would buy another one in like new condition to keep as a spare. I would hate to have to part with this beauty. The economy has taken all of my babies, but this one. I plan to be buried with it.
