I saw this strat on an ad-site in my area. It seems like a good deal, but I thought I would get some advise from the experts on this site. The link is

Hmmm. This posting has been deleted by it's author. Apparently it sold or the author got schooled by someone about the guitar not being as rare as he posted.

On a tangent:

Isn't it amazing how many times we read the word, "rare" when a seller is describing a piece he or she is trying to unload? Yet in reality, said piece is the furthest thing from being rare! I guess just because the seller never saw one before, that makes it rare in his or her world. I routinely skip over all ads with, "rare" in the caption when I read them.

He reposted the "Rare" Strat. http://detroit.craigslist.org/msg/1203419920.html

He claims that there were only 250 guitars built and only 12 were painted yellow. How could someone know specifically how many were painted yellow???
