My first guitar was a Cort Earth-series acoustic. It's made from spruce and therefore very, very blonde. I love the thing to death and I've done some modifications to it myself, including the addition of a pickup.

My first electric was an ancient Harmony Les Paul copy that my dad picked up. Despite its battered appearance -- we used drywall putty to fill a hole in the top before colouring it with an orange marker -- it plays great, although I don't really pick it up much anymore. Nice thing is that it's worth nothing to anyone but me. I think with some new pups and maybe some new hardware, it would be a rockin' axe once again!

My first guitar was a Univox copy of a Les Paul Custom.....had a bolt-on neck, with hardshell case.........$129.50, plus tax.........it's over at my ex-mother-inlaws. I modified it with a pair of original Dimarzio pickups, circa 1975.

1st guitar was an ibanez gax ibeleive 120 or 70.
anyway its mahogony body. 2002, i ouldnt play it at all, then 2004 i bought the fender starter pack. (really top notch beginer instruction) after a couple of mos i loaned the dvd it came with to a friend.

funny all i wanted to do was just learn country. in 2007 i watched crossroads on pbs, that was the day i felt, and understood the blues. after that i decided to learn my scales.
now 2009 ill be competing in a king of the blues comp. where ill be judged for talent, tehnique, showmanship.

i am rambling again...

My first guitar was on old Tiesco Del Ray electric guitar. It was a horrible guitar, but wish I still had it. I was 13 when I first learned to play guitar in 1978 with that guitar.

First guitar was an acoustic by Kay. The action was so bad that my left hand got really strong.

First electric was a Goya Panther W-2. Two mini-humbuckers (in the 1960's) a primitive whammy bar, and push button pickup selectors. Small body with double cutaways. Best neck I've ever played on a guitar. Kind of like this one, only white:

My first guitar was an old Fender Squire, red with a maple fretboard that I bought off a friend of mine. I had that thing for awhile, then I started to get into a weird heavy metal phase and I bought a Jackson from a local shop. Never really played it much, I sucked back then. Got into highschool and wanted to play more and my friend who I bought the original Fender from started a punk band with some friends and I. I traded that lame Jackson in for a Jackson PS-4, that's the one that I wish I never sold...oh well, I know it went to a good home and I could probaby get it back if I wanted to.

I learned on some 'student' acoustics. My first real guitar was a 1970 Gibson SG Special. It had black pickups (maybe P-90s) not the typical silver humbuckers. Pretty good guitar. I saw Robby Kreiger of the Doors play one once on TV.

I sold that guitar in the late seventies and have been a Fender guy ever since. Gibson makes excellent guitars, but as we all know, a guitar is a very personal thing and I really like the feel and sound of Fenders.

1st was actually a Univox Bass circa 1972 Still have it and its really "roadworn".

1st guitar same year 1972 Yamaha FG110 paid $75.00 for it. Still have it. Gets played occasionally for nostalgia but man it sucks. A blind man could find the E, A, C, G, and D chords from the indentations in the rosewood. You couldn't buy it from me too many memories...

My first guitar was a MIM Fender Strat, rang each note rang like the proverbial bell, an '87 or '88 model purchased new from GC in San Francisco at their old Mission District store. Those were the days.

Fender Duo Sonic with a neck stamp date of October 1964. It was in the bargain barrel at Thoroughbred music in Tampa, Florida. Wish I still had it.

Actually my first guitar was similar to this one. It's the newer model, called the Fat-210. It had a humbucker at the bridge, which was really tinny. But then again, when I got it I was only chunking power chords so it didn't matter a whole lot. It's black with white scratchplate, rosewood fingerboard, etc...Now the switch is not working properly, which is no big because I have an Epi Les Paul and an American Strat now to keep my electric fingers happy:-)

My first was a Fender Squire Bullet Series II Stratocaster. It was badass!!!!!! Artice white with rosewood. painted it gold with a black pickguard, then the paint wore in (cheap paint) so it became a tri color (white, black, gold). Wish i still had it, just for projects and equipment tests. I play a 2008 Black American Standard with Maple board and HSS now.
