deth crimsonx ... that is interesting ... you should start a new forum topic asking about the laminated body. I have never seen that before. A big block of wood is more expensive than laminating, or blocking and gluing smaller parts together.

The Squier Bullets with hard tails from a few years ago were laminate bodied as well. A good number of the old MIK and even a lot of the MIJ S/E series Squiers were laminate bodied. The easiest way to tell at a glance with no tools is to check the body thickness. The laminates were generally 1 1/2 inches thick whereas the solid wood bodies were 1 3/4. That's not 100% foolproof however, but in general it stands. I guess if you have a hard time with eyeball measurements you still need a tool, but at least you don't have to take it apart.

That said, my very first guitar was a Squier Bullet with a hard tail from a few years ago. Played bass extensively prior to that. Something popped along the way and now I'm surrounded with 8 guitars (including a MIK Squier solid body) and another incoming. Probably had at least that many pass through my ownership too...

I am an old newbie, so mine was a 2007 Yamaha PAC-012. It was a black HSS model with a rosewood fretboard. I bought it at GC and used their return policy to trade it 3 weeks later for a new 2006 Fender Electron Blue HSS Strat with maple fretboard. I still have that Strat and have acquired a few more Strats and Teles to keep it company.

A single pickup Strat knock off by a company called Crown. I bought it at a swap meet along with a Silvertone amp.

candy apple red silvertone. also had a small silvertone amp with it. good ol' mom smashed both of them in the back yard one day. she used to get really pi##ed. also destroyed a harmony acoustic in the attic. i survived but sure don't miss those days. women who do this sh#t now get money sent to them for necessitys at the Can't Leave Hotel. :D

My first guitar that I could call my own and still have is an Epiphone acoustic which my dad bought for me when I finished my exams. Learned to play on his acoustic which was a Harmony and also the first electric I remember is his Sunn Mustang which is Made by Fender but I've yet to see another...and my own first electric was an Epiphone Les Paul Special II which just had 2 HB and sinle tone and volume. That guitar is well worn in but I've got it set up for slide now so you can't really play much else on it...

My first was a Candian made acoustic. A rich booming S6+Cedar Seagull. Still my one and only acoustic and it is priceless to me. Got it for Christmas from my parental units. (Santa)

My next guitar was my 1998 MIA Std. Strat in 3 color sunburst with a RW fretboard and a black and white cat named Alex on top. Had to save all summer for that one.

10 years later I've bought my second Strat. The 2008 American Deluxe in Chrome Silver.

Hope you enjoy the pics.

LOL. Mine was a Sears catalog special I got with money saved from paper route. Three tone burst, plywood body, some kinda maple looking neck with some kinda rosewood looking fretboard, 2 single coil picups, black pickguared with some weird leafy looking trim around pickguard. I played the hell outta that guitar through an amp my dad made. Learned every KISS song I could. It was the 70's after all.

My dad bought me my first guitar around 1983, it was a Cort that looked like a Les Paul double cut black and gold. I remember plugging that thing into the family stereo and wondering why it didn't sound like Jimi Page!!
