hello, this is my first post here.

i bought a 2003 60's Vintage Player Strat for $500 earlier this year, it was marked down from it's original $1000 price after sitting in the store for almost 3 years. i know a little bit about it, such as there are supposedly only 250 made in each color, and that it has texas special pickups, but i can only find so much info on it, seeing as almost everything regarding this awesome guitar has been deleted from anything official, only leaving reviews to get my info from.

so can anybody give me any info on this guitar? specifically what colors it originally came in. mine seems to be a cross between surf green and sky blue, but under the pickguard it seems to be much more of a green, which leads me to believe it was faded into a more blueish color as apposed to it being the original intended color.

anything would be helpful, really. i know for a fact that it is a vintage player strat, but i just would like to know a bit more about this absolutely wonderful guitar.

thanks much!!

I got the Fender Frontline 2003 at home.
No mention of a Vintage Player Strat.
Although there is a Custom Shop Classic Player Strat.
Is the guitar Fender USA, or Fender Custom Shop USA, Fender Mexico
or Japan?

it's MIM. the serial # is MZ3002427.

it is not a classic player strat, although similar. the current mexican classic player strat has '69 pickups i believe, and has the 2 hole vintage bridge, whereas mine has the 6 hole. my guitar also has staggered tuning posts, they go deeper into the body closer to the tip of the head. like i said, i know for 100% certain that it is a "Vintage Player Strat", not only did it say it on the price tag(which i still have) but i also found reveiws, unfortunatly of which do not contain much about the specs, which is why i came here to look for them.

here's a picture of the beauty(it really looks more green in person):

also she's went through some mods, so don't look for those differences in any other model.

I once had a MIM Limited Edition '50s strat in Aztec gold.
Had a J.W.Black sticker on the back of the headstock, and also
the staggered tuners. The PU's were TexMex and sounded very
good. THe normal specs; alder body, maple neck, medium frets
and 9.5'' radius. I think it was also around 2003.
